Heinrich and Barela to Debate in Town Hall Format

Voters to Identify Key Issues at Town Hall Debate

Voters from the state’s First Congressional District will meet today at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque for a half-day town hall meeting to discuss issues they would like congressional candidates Martin Heinrich and Jon Barela to address. The half-day town hall leads into a  live televised forum at KNME-TV where the voters become the studio audience and ask the candidates their questions. The debate moderator is Sam Donaldson, ABC newsman and New Mexico rancher.

The event is being simulcast statewide on all of NM’s public television stations and most public radio stations.  This is the second in a series of three town hall debates being held in the Congressional districts organized by New Mexico First in partnership with the state’s public broadcasters.
