Lujan and Mullins to Debate in Portales
Voters to Identify Key Issues at Town Hall Debates
Portales – Voters throughout the third congressional district will meet in the Communications Center at ENMU for a half-day town hall meeting to discuss issues they would like congressional candidates Ben Ray Lujan and Tom Mullins to address. The half-day town hall leads into a televised forum at KENW-TV where the voters become the studio audience and ask the candidates their questions. The debate moderator is Sam Donaldson, ABC newsman and New Mexico rancher.
The event is being simulcast statewide on all of NM’s public television stations and most public radio stations. This is the first in a series of three town hall debates being held in the Congressional districts organized by New Mexico First in partnership with the state’s public broadcasters.
