New Mexico First Announces Spirit of Bipartisanship Award Recipients

Awardees to be recognized for excellence at First Forum

Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico First will recognize 10 outstanding New Mexicans for their exceptional leadership and bipartisan contributions with Spirit of Bipartisanship Awards at the annual First Forum Lecture Series on May 25, 2011. The award categories are Rising Stars, Voices of Experience, Fiscal Leadership and Lifetime Achievement.

New Mexico First, a nonpartisan, public policy organization is hosting the 2011 First Forum lecture: The Politics of Good Government. Moderated by ABC newsman Sam Donaldson, the event’s keynote speaker will be Cokie Roberts, best known for her work on ABC and National Public Radio.

The First Form lecturers are a tradition in the state that enables New Mexicans to hear national figures speak about public policy topics. This year’s event will be held at the University of New Mexico’s Keller Hall; reception from 6:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. and the program begins at 7:00 p.m.
