New Mexico First to Conduct Facilitation Workshop

On May 17-18th, New Mexico First will conduct the New Mexico First Facilitation for Success Workshop, which provides a well-defined, step-by-step approach to help people learn to run productive meetings. Whether you want to learn how to become a better group facilitator or simply a better participant in a group setting, this workshop will provide you with the knowledge and skills that enable groups to generate, develop, and select between ideas to reach consensus.

New Mexico First has a strong tradition of influencing public policy initiatives through our unique consensus-building process. Upon completion of this training, workshop participants can become eligible to serve in a discussion leader or recorder role at events organized by New Mexico First. In addition, this training makes participants more effective group facilitators in a wide variety of situations in their work organizations and communities.

Our leadership training workshop introduces participants to the processes that optimize group participation and effectiveness. Training covers event design, issue framing, discussion facilitation, consensus-building, and recording consensus statements and recommendations.
