Teague and Pearce to Participate in Town Hall Debate

Sam Donaldson to Moderate

Las Cruces – Voters throughout the second congressional district will meet TODAY at the Corbett Center on the NMSU campus for a half-day town hall meeting to discuss issues they would like congressional candidates Harry Teague and Steve Pearce to address. The half-day town hall will lead into a televised forum where the voters become the studio audience and ask the candidates their questions. The debate moderator is Sam Donaldson, ABC newsman and New Mexico rancher.

The event is being simulcast statewide on all of NM’s public television stations and most of our public radio stations, and  is the third and final in a series of town halls being organized throughout the state by New Mexico First and New Mexico Public Broadcasters.

  • 3:15   Town Hall deliberations begin (West Ballroom/Corbett Center/NMSU, Las Cruces)
  • 5:45   Adjourn deliberations
  • 6:45   Town Hall participants in KRWG-TV studio for debate
  • 7:00   Debate airs (statewide simulcast)
  • 8:00   Event adjourns Media is welcome to attend the town hall deliberations to interview citizens. Interviews can also be arranged with Sam Donaldson by request.
