Statewide Town Halls

New Mexico First generally convenes one statewide town hall every year. This town hall focuses on a topic that has statewide interest, priority, and potential impact. For this topic, we conduct extensive research, convene a series of citizen dialogues around the state, and develop a layperson’s background report as preparation for participation in the town hall. Then, people engage in a three-day deliberative town hall that produces concrete, actionable recommendations for the legislature and other policymakers.
