Healthcare Bill to Provide Loans to Nurses Who Want To Receive A Graduate Degree

The New Mexico First supported bill, HB 59: Expand Nurse Educators Fund, passed the House 61-0 and is now headed to the Senate.  Participants from the Centennial Town Hall recommended more ways in which New Mexico can increase the number of licensed healthcare professionals. The bill would provide educational loans from the Nurse Educators Fund for all registered nurses who want to pursue a graduate degree in nursing.
